Komodo National Park lies between the provinces of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Nusa Tenggara Islands, State of Indonesia. By administrative rule, the island including the District of Komodo, West Manggarai regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. Komodo National Park is flanked by the island of Sumbawa (NTB) and Flores (NTT), this national park consists of three large islands of Komodo, Rinca and Padar, and some of the islands large and small, there are also some mountain / hill. Satalibo Mountain is a mountain with the highest peak (± 735 m asl) situated inside the Komodo National Park. Komodo National Park was established in 1980 with the aim to protect the survival of some ancient animal is the Komodo (Varanus komodoensis) and their habitats, including flora and fauna therein. In 1986, the Komodo National Park designated as a World Heritage Site (World Heritage Site) as well as Man and Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. Komodo National Park is visited by many tourists, they call this national park with the nickname Parent World. Parent World epithet is to show a picture of distinctness of Komodo Island, where there are prairie region (savanna) wide and was impressed arid and barren, hot temperatures and dry air and water sources are limited, an open field overgrown with a few palm trees with background behind the mountains, it is a distinctness that are not found elsewhere and is a world unto itself.
In addition to the original habitat of the animal known as an ancient dragon, the park was also built as a place for conservation of animals native to Indonesia. In this park there are also hundreds of species of marine life such as corals, thousands of species of fish (fish, mermaids, whales, sharks, stingrays, yellow tail, marlin, barracuda, baronang, red snapper, and others), dozens of sponge. There are also wild animals such as horses, deer, wild buffalo, wild boar, ajag. In addition to palm trees as the dominant vegetation in this park, there are also other plants such as bamboo, rattan, billowing, acid, lote and mangroves.

Visitors can visit each year in: March to June and the month of October till December. 

Travel To Komodo National Park

Alternative 1: From Denpasar (Bali) to Mataram (Lombok Island, NTB), next to the town of Bima (Sumbawa Island, West Nusa Tenggara), and the City Sape (Sumbawa Island, West Nusa Tenggara), it takes ± 2 days of travel through land and sea. Sape to the location of national parks by using the ferry. Alternative 2: From Denpasar (Bali) to Labuan Bajo City (Flores, East Nusa Tenggara) with the aircraft, from the town of Labuan Bajo to the national park using a ferry or speedboat. Alternative 3: From the city of Kupang (Timor Island, East Nusa Tenggara) to the city of Ende (NTT) on Flores Island by airplane. Upon arrival in Ende, we travel towards the City Labuan Bajo by using the bus (± 10 hours of travel). From the City of Labuan Bajo, the journey was continued toward the island of Komodo to use speed boat (± 2 hours drive).

National monuments are better known as the National Monument or Tugu Monas monument is one of national pride in Indonesia, particularly for the citizens of the capital Jakarta and surrounding areas. This monument was established as a memorial to commemorate the resistance and the Indonesian people's struggle against the occupation in the Netherlands in the revolutionary period of independence in 1945. With the existence of this National Monument would be a source of inspiration and the spirit of patriotism for generations to the present and future. The things that give meaning to the above can be found through the three (three) places that are symbols of the nation that is within the monument there are museums that tell the history trail of Indonesia, which is the space where the blown independence proclamation by President Sukarno and the court of the cup or space that has meaning and the symbol of the proclamation.
Establishment Monas Monas began construction in August 1959 and on August 17, 1961 was inaugurated by President Soekarno. On July 12, 1975 Monument officially opens to the public. Monument was established on a land area of 80 hectares and the architect who designed this monument is Soedarsono and Frederich Silaban, consultants are Prof. Ir. Rooseno. National Monument is located in Monument Park. Monas Park has five times that renaming Gambier Field, Field Ikada, Merdeka Square, National Monument, and Monument Park. Monas Structure Tugu Monas forms of the idea is of the form of Alu and Barn which is a typical household appliance Indonesian national culture that almost every household there in Indonesia. Alu or Linga or Anatan was symbolized by the form of towering Monas monument, while Barn or yoni symbolized by the Cup form at the bottom of Tugu Monas. Tugu Monas is 132 meters high, on top of the monument there is a cup that sustain a flame torch or the eternal flame that made of bronze weighing 14.5 tons and a diameter of 6 meters and consists of 77 sections together. Bronze material is coated with gold weighing 35 kg. This is the torch symbolizes the struggle of the Indonesian people who never gave up and fought for independence within the reach of all time. Bottom of the monument there are peaks with peak parking area 11 x 11 meters and can accommodate guests as much as 50 people. The peak has a height of 17 meters of the monument from the court of the summit. Court of the cup has a 45 x 45 meters wide with a height of 17 meters from the base of the monument. 45 Figures are taken from the Proclamation of Independence figures on August 17, 1945. At the bedrock of Tugu Monas as high as 3 m, below that there is a museum of history of national struggle that can accommodate visitors ± 500 people. The museum is sized 80 x 80 meters.
To get into the monument, visitors can enter through the entrance around the plaza of Medan Merdeka Park, Monument Park in the north. From here visitors can climb the peak of the court of Monas monument or museum.
Facilities In Building Monas There is a museum and hall facilities for meditation. To rise above the monument there is an elevator and there is an emergency staircase at the elevator around the body is made of iron.
The city view from Monas By using elevators / lifts, visitors can ride up to the top court. From the court of the summit, visitors can see more clearly the situation in Jakarta. Viewing toward the south, from a distance visitors can see Mount Salak in Bogor regency, West Java, stretching north towards the open sea with small islands scattered. Towards the west, visitors can see the Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
Transportation to Monas Monas is located at Jalan Merdeka (Gambir Station). It is not difficult to reach Tugu Monas, because a lot of transport through Tugu Monas, such as taxis, buses, busway.
Souvenirs On the monument there are souvenirs such as miniature keychains Tugu Monas, Monas Monument pictorial shirts, miniature Tugu Monas. If visitors want to take pictures, there are also images directly so.
