Komodo National Park lies between the provinces of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Nusa Tenggara Islands, State of Indonesia. By administrative rule, the island including the District of Komodo, West Manggarai regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. Komodo National Park is flanked by the island of Sumbawa (NTB) and Flores (NTT), this national park consists of three large islands of Komodo, Rinca and Padar, and some of the islands large and small, there are also some mountain / hill. Satalibo Mountain is a mountain with the highest peak (± 735 m asl) situated inside the Komodo National Park. Komodo National Park was established in 1980 with the aim to protect the survival of some ancient animal is the Komodo (Varanus komodoensis) and their habitats, including flora and fauna therein. In 1986, the Komodo National Park designated as a World Heritage Site (World Heritage Site) as well as Man and Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. Komodo National Park is visited by many tourists, they call this national park with the nickname Parent World. Parent World epithet is to show a picture of distinctness of Komodo Island, where there are prairie region (savanna) wide and was impressed arid and barren, hot temperatures and dry air and water sources are limited, an open field overgrown with a few palm trees with background behind the mountains, it is a distinctness that are not found elsewhere and is a world unto itself.
In addition to the original habitat of the animal known as an ancient dragon, the park was also built as a place for conservation of animals native to Indonesia. In this park there are also hundreds of species of marine life such as corals, thousands of species of fish (fish, mermaids, whales, sharks, stingrays, yellow tail, marlin, barracuda, baronang, red snapper, and others), dozens of sponge. There are also wild animals such as horses, deer, wild buffalo, wild boar, ajag. In addition to palm trees as the dominant vegetation in this park, there are also other plants such as bamboo, rattan, billowing, acid, lote and mangroves.

Travel To Komodo National Park
Alternative 1: From Denpasar (Bali) to Mataram (Lombok Island, NTB), next to the town of Bima (Sumbawa Island, West Nusa Tenggara), and the City Sape (Sumbawa Island, West Nusa Tenggara), it takes ± 2 days of travel through land and sea. Sape to the location of national parks by using the ferry. Alternative 2: From Denpasar (Bali) to Labuan Bajo City (Flores, East Nusa Tenggara) with the aircraft, from the town of Labuan Bajo to the national park using a ferry or speedboat. Alternative 3: From the city of Kupang (Timor Island, East Nusa Tenggara) to the city of Ende (NTT) on Flores Island by airplane. Upon arrival in Ende, we travel towards the City Labuan Bajo by using the bus (± 10 hours of travel). From the City of Labuan Bajo, the journey was continued toward the island of Komodo to use speed boat (± 2 hours drive).
